AUSTELL, Ga. -- Cobb County Police are searching for two suspects accused of gunning down a 20-year-old Douglasville man last week.

Joseph Owens was shot at the West Chase apartment complex on Six Flags Parkway at around 10:30 p.m. Friday. He managed to run from the suspects and collapsed near the Marathon gas station on Six Flags Drive.

Owens was later pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Cobb County Police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said the two suspects were caught on surveillance video near the scene of the crime.

He described one of the possible perpetrators as a light-skinned black man in his late teens or early 20s. The suspects has ear-length dreadlocks, was wearing a black shirt and jeans, and was armed with a handgun during the shooting.

The other suspect is a medium-skinned black man, also in his late teens or early 20s. He has a pierced eyebrow and short hair with "twists" in it, and was wearing a white tank top, jeans and a black netted bag with a shoulder strap when Owens was shot.
