Build-A-Bear Rewards Un-bear-lievable Kids

ATLANTA -- Surveys show that today's young people are more in touch with the needs of their communities than ever before.

In a recent study conducted by Build-A-Bear Workshop, 98% of the 400 kids polled said that they believe it is important to help others.

Build-A-Bear Workshop founded its Huggable Heroes program to recognize and encourage young leaders who provide extraordinary service in their communities and around the world. Huggable Heroes is currently searching for a new batch of special kids to acknowledge and reward.

Anyone between the ages of eight and 18 can be nominated for the distinction of Huggable Hero.

Teens Jump for Joy at the Grand Opening of Plato's Closet

DOUGLASVILLE, GA -- With the opening of Plato's Closet of Douglasville, local teens and twenty-somethings now have a place to bring that excess of stylish clothing that has been piling up in their closets and dressers for months. The hip, trendy store buys and sells gently used, brand-name clothing and accessories, including shoes, belts, purses and jewelry.

"Our store fills a distinct niche in the retail market," said Allie Cheatham, owner of the new Plato's Closet. "We are part of a unique retail resale business that specializes in the teen and the young adult market segment. The great thing about our business is that the wish list for trendy brand-name apparel and the availability of it in virtually every teen's closet presents fantastic opportunities."

While attending Emory University, Cheatham loved to shop and find great deals at Plato's Closet.
