Church volunteer arrested on molestation charges in Douglasville | News
DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. — An 18-year-old former church volunteer is in custody on child molestation charges, according to Douglasville Police.
Authorities arrested James Buckner Jan. 22 on two counts of Child Molestation and one count of False Imprisonment. Police say Buckner came into contact with a 10-year-old victim and other children in the same age group while volunteering at Crossroads Church in Douglasville.
The arrest came as a result of two separate incidents that happened in November and December 2015. Police are now working with church leaders to determine if there are more victims.
The Douglasville Police Department is asking anyone with information on the incidents or knowledge of other incidents to contact police at 678-293-1703 or 770-920-3010.
