DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. – The suspension of Douglasville's police chief remained a touchy subject on Friday.
Douglasville City Council voted 6-1 to suspend Police Chief Chris Womack on Thursday. Womack is suspended until June 25 while facing excessive force allegations.
Only one city council member, Carl Pope, responded to 11Alive's request for an interview on Friday.
"In my opinion, it's a lot of bad judgment," Pope said in response to a video shown to council members in an executive session on Thursday.
